About Europa Scout
After years of playing football at competitive levels, Tobias retired at the age of 35 and ventured into business. However, their path led them back to the sport, culminating in obtaining a FIFA and UEFA scouting designation and collaborating with Transfermarkt, with a focus scouting on players under 21 with French heritage. The success in discovering talented players has extended to those who have trained and played at Clairefontaine in France, to MLS in North America.
Tobias Bichin - Founder
Tobias Bichin, affectionately known as “Bichin,” is one of football’s most fearless and unforgettable competitors, renowned for a playing style defined by physical dominance, tactical disruption, and unwavering grit.
As a midfielder, Bichin delivered hard challenges and relentless pressure, channeling the controlled chaos of Thomas Gravesen and the ruthless edge of legendary enforcers. He didn’t just play the game—he reshaped it through intimidation, intelligence, and impact. His presence disrupted rhythm and rattled opponents, but his sharp football IQ and leadership brought structure to the storm.
His journey includes leading the Marpole Strikers to a championship win in 1993, and starring with the Richmond Rangers in the Premier League, where he earned multiple All-Star selections. His most profound achievement came in 2003, when he was named MVP and dedicated the honour to his late father.
Bichin's brilliance shone from an early age: he claimed MVP honors in the 1994 U19 World Cup while representing the United States Men's National Team, a defining moment in his youth career. Recently, his impact extended beyond playing—he was awarded the SoCal Player Development Award for outstanding mentorship of U21 players, reinforcing his dedication to nurturing future stars.
In alternate formats like 7-a-side soccer and futsal, Bichin proved just as dominant, winning numerous Gold Cup championships and adapting seamlessly across styles and settings.
Whether anchoring midfield or mentoring the next generation, Tobias Bichin played the game with conviction and conscience—an enforcer with empathy.
